When to Use Bone Meal
Apply True Organic™ Bone Meal twice per year (Spring and Fall)
In ground plants
Single plant:
Apply 5 ½ tbsp., work into the top 3–6” of soil and water thoroughly.
Garden bed:
Spread 1 ¾ cups over 10 sq. ft., work into the top 3–6” of soil and water thoroughly.
This 3lb. bag covers 61 sq. ft.
Potted plants
New Plants
1. Measure True Organic™ Bone Meal according to the chart below.
2. Thoroughly work into potting mix.
3. Water thoroughly.

Helping my dahlias grow big and strong
I needed bone meal fast to plant my dahlia tubers, and the stuff I got at Tractor Supply last year just seemed really lack luster. I hoped that, for what I felt was a reasonable price, this would work. So far, I have been incredibly happy! My tubers came up very quickly and my plants seem healthy and happy! I used it on some cold hardy kiwi plants as well - I can't wait to see them thrive 🙂

I needed this for fall planting our Dutch bulbs. It also went to forty our fruit plants. It's pellet are nice as dust isn't flying around. One note, the dog was too interested, can't blame a dog who likes a bone!
